  1. I found the book as I was searching the internet a couple of years ago. I had intended to order it, never got to it & then you sent an email on a newsletter about some slightly damaged copies you had. I had intended to order one of those, but again, never got to it as I wasn’t knitting a whole lot, so didn’t think it mattered. I’ve rediscovered knitting through various tube videos-yours included. Your methods make the best sense to me and since I’d never had a lot of instruction on fitting I thought I’d get the book so I can learn and fit successfully. I’m planning to attempt teaching my granddaughter how to knit when I see her this summer, so figure I’d best be getting on with my own learning ! That’s the long version of how I found your book. Looking forward to receiving it!

  2. I saw that your book was delivered yesterday Brenda! Lucky granddaughter, and good for you both that you’re seeking more knitting skills. I’m always poking around to learn new, interesting things. It’s partly why I love knitting so much. There’s so much to explore. Enjoy!

  3. Sheril, I really admire your knowledge in knitting!! But I have a question for you regarding working your own gauge versus the “ pattern gauge” so if you change the gauge, how do you determine the increases and or decreases, since your calculations are now different than those of the patern???
    Thank you for your help

  4. As I said on my email, I appreciate and I am grateful for the lessons shared!

  5. Thank you Teresa, and you are most welcome for them. It was kind of you to comment.

  6. Hi Rose! I recognize your name from a label I recently printed out for your book. The “More-or-Less-Right-Formula” in Sweater 101 will help you do this. And this is a very good question. It’s not really a formula, just some simple long division and it’s one key to your knitting freedom.

  7. Sheryl, thank you for your prompt reply, I just received your book “ Sweater 101” and I am studying page by page👍 So excited to try these tricks 😀
    Thanks again!!
